Non-porous clayey soil is no prize in the garden greenhouse. It is heavy and binds too much water on itself and promotes the infestation of plants with molds. Its opposite is the sandy soil, but it quickly dries out. The most suitable for greenhouse cultivation is a medium-heavy clay soil that binds well with nutrients and moisture.

 

 

Prior to planting, it is necessary first to soil the soil in the greenhouse and incorporate humus or compost into the soil. The most suitable compost is undoubtedly from its own compost. Compost should be sifted before it is incorporated into the soil. Well-matured compost is decomposed into the soil and releases nitrogen compounds that promote the growth of plants in the greenhouse.

 

If the soil in the greenhouse is to be fertilized with manure rather than a compost, it is good to know that livestock manure can only be used in a sufficiently salient condition, not fresh. Some plants, such as peppers and tomatoes, are prone to the high nitrogen content of the manure. In addition, from the over-fertilized soil, nitrogen compounds get into the human organism, which does not benefit health.

 

If we hurry and have a good garden greenhouse, the first vegetables, such as radishes, and lettuce can be sown in the greenhouse already in the second half of March. The early crops will not wait for long. After harvesting radish, we are surely prepared tomatoes and pepper schnitzel and we can also add cucumbers to the greenhouse. It is good to remember that peppers and especially cucumbers need more space. Of course, it is to provide plants with appropriate support.
