Whether we have gardens or gardens, we know that taking care of them is a never-ending process. And if we want to have fun at the garden, it is good to find suitable and effective helpers with whom we can work.
How to make cleaning easier in the garden
In any care of the
garden, it is necessary to solve the
garden waste, how to process it and where to store it. If we have the possibility to bring the garbage out of the garden to the collection yard, we have won, but it is not possible anywhere. And so we need to find a solution that we can do for ourselves. So with a crusher, chipper and
composter.
Garden Branch Crushers
Especially in the spring or autumn, we are struggling with more branches, both from trees and shrubs. Their burning on their own land is not only dangerous, but in many places even the local ordinance is forbidden. An effective way is to crush them in a crusher or a chipper.
The difference between the shredder and the chipper
Many have combined these two concepts into one, but there is a difference between these devices.
Branch crushers crush branches with rotating knives and handle fresh material that crushes on small parts, which can then be used for mulching. The chipper works on the principle of a toothed wheel, which on one side presses against the metal plate and slices the branch, which it pulls through the gears, into small pieces. It is not as high as the crusher and efficiently processes dry material in particular.
What about top-quality material
It is suitable for composting. However, for composting to be effective, it is good to know how to compost. The bottom of the composter is always coarse and airy material, just the above-mentioned chips or the remains of crushed branches are ideal for this purpose.
This layer, then alternate with the cut grass, shredded leaves, ash. It is also good to occasionally add a bucket of water to the compost if there is a long-term drought.
Speed up the composting process
If we have rather single-layer material in the composter (grass or leaves), it is likely that the compost will grow slower. Therefore, it is advisable to add a layer of compost or soil to the composter at times, and mix the compost several times during maturing.
