What is an arc
The arc is an architectural design spanning the hole in the masonry. Arched vaults also form a supporting wall of ceilings, roofs and bridges. The reason for the construction of the arches is to distribute the masonry pressure to the sides and to reduce the shear and bending forces. There are a number of arched arches. The most famous are, for example, a triangular vault, full vault, arched arch, Tudor, parabolic and many others.
