In each chimney, moisture builds up during heating. With the use of new generation heat-generating appliances, humidity increases in the chimney. When flue gases are cooled in the chimney, precipitated liquids are formed which contain a large number of harmful substances. They run through the walls of the chimney, and if the chimney is, for example, brick, easy to protect, there will be spots on the walls.

Wet chimney is also created if we change the heater. The thermal appliance, along with the smoke path, forms one functional unit, and if the chimney is not adapted to the new appliance, it may happen that the dry chimney has so far become wet and will eventually collapse.
