What is a sanation?
Asanation means the recovery of the environment. This concept began to be used in the early eighteenth century, when it was necessary to significantly improve the unsuitable hygienic conditions prevailing at the time in most European cities. In practice, sanitation can mean the construction of entire city districts where it is often necessary to demolish many objects. Today, such radical processes are far less implemented, as new parts of cities are currently planned according to modern hygiene standards. Thus, the rehabilitation in the modern world concerns mainly the older parts of the municipalities.
