Photovoltaics is a method that makes it possible to produce electricity only from solar radiation. Even though research in this field is gaining momentum, it is still not possible to produce a photovoltaic panel whose lifetime would exceed 30 years. Additionally, the panels work mainly in sunny weather, which is the conditions in our latitudes only in the summer. In the long run, however, this is a promising technology.
